The Hernández family, residents of Florida, shared an emotional video on TikTok showing how they prepared for the imminent arrival of Hurricane Milton.

Unable to evacuate, they made the heartbreaking decision to write their names and birthdates on the arms of each family member.

This was done so that, in the event they did not survive, their bodies could be identified.

«We couldn’t evacuate, but we’re doing what Tampa authorities have asked,» the family wrote in the video posted on TikTok.

In the video, the eight family members are seen wearing the same clothes they would wear during the hurricane’s impact.

The images also show their two dogs, Fluffy and Dobby, who were dressed to be identified as well.

This scene reflects the fear and uncertainty experienced by thousands of families facing devastating natural disasters like Milton.

The video quickly went viral on TikTok, causing a wave of reactions from users, who sent messages of support and solidarity to the family.

The Hernández family shared their experience not only to express their fears but also to highlight the emotional impact these natural disasters have on vulnerable communities.

Especially Hispanic families who may not always have the resources to evacuate in time.

«I’m crying, wondering how the Hernández family is doing. God is great, I hope they’re okay!» commented a concerned user.

«Where is the Hernández family?» hundreds of people asked in the comments, uncertain after the hurricane’s passage.

THE HERNÁNDEZ FAMILY SHARED ANOTHER VIDEO

@hippierastaculture From the bottom of our hearts, we thank everyone who kept us in their prayers. Thanks to all the positivity, we’re okay and grateful that it didn’t turn worse in Florida. What comes next is working together as a community for everyone’s well-being. Thank you for your kind wishes, and to those who thought we did this for likes, we were simply doing what the authorities asked of people who couldn’t evacuate. Responding to concerns about the dogs, the video creator assured: «Fluffy and Dobby are fine, they can’t say it, but I can speak for them.»

“Thank God they’re okay, what a relief!” exclaimed one follower, echoing the collective sentiment after the family announced they survived Milton’s impact.

This heartbreaking testimony serves as a reminder of the importance of taking preventive measures.

And the vulnerability of those who, in the face of a hurricane’s force, can only wait and pray for their safety.
