Actor Johnny Wactor is killed in a robbery

The actor confronted three men who were attempting to steal the catalytic converter from his car, at which point one of them shot him. The suspects fled the scene after the shooting.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), officers responded to reports that a man had been shot.

Wactor was taken to a hospital where he died hours later from his injuries.

The actor had started his career in 2007 on the hit Lifetime show Army Wives. His most notable credits include roles in Westworld, NCIS, Criminal Minds and Hollywood Girl.

From 2020 to 2022, Wactor played Brando on General Hospital. His character was married to Sasha Corbin, a drug addict, on the popular ABC soap.

The police reported that they are investigating the incident, but no arrests have yet been made as they haven’t located the assailants.

According to data from the National Insurance Crime Office, 1,298 thefts were reported in 2018 and 52,206 in 2021.

According to EFE, 37% of all catalytic converter thefts tracked in 2021 occurred in California.
