According to TVNotas, Mexican actress Angélica Vale confirmed her divorce from Otto Padrón, with whom she shared 14 years of marriage and two children. However, shortly after the announcement, reports emerged claiming that the Cuban businessman has “disappeared”, cutting off communication with both the media and his professional circle.
The news of the divorce was first reported by journalist Javier Ceriani, who revealed that Padrón filed for divorce in the Los Angeles Superior Court on November 4. According to his report, Padrón did not seek custody of the children but only visitation rights and travel permissions with them.
“Just hours after he filed, my team confirmed the court order,” Ceriani stated, noting that Otto handled the filing discreetly.
A day later, Angélica Vale publicly confirmed the separation, explaining that the couple had lived apart since April and that she found out about the legal process through the media.

During an interview with reporters, Vale said she was having dinner with her family when she received a message with the news of the divorce filing.
“I didn’t know he had already filed. I was shocked to find out that way — through a message he received,” said Angélica, visibly emotional.
Without revealing the reasons for the breakup, she asked for privacy and said she hoped everything would be resolved “without scandals.”
The divorce announcement came just days before her 50th birthday, attracting even more media attention.

Entertainment journalist Pier Rojas claimed that no one has heard from Otto Padrón for weeks.
“He’s completely off the grid. Nobody has been able to contact him — not journalists, not colleagues. He’s disappeared,” Rojas said on the program Todo para la Mujer.
According to Rojas, rumors of marital trouble had circulated since last year, when Vale began appearing alone at several public events.
Just a week before the official announcement, Angélica Vale was spotted attending a Miguel Bosé concert alone, fueling speculation about a possible permanent separation.

Before Vale confirmed the divorce, reports had surfaced about alleged infidelity and financial disagreements between the couple.
Rojas noted that the pair had faced tensions over personal projects and financial matters, though none of those claims have been officially confirmed.
“Many thought it was just gossip because Otto rarely attends public events. But once the divorce filing was confirmed, everything changed,” he added.
Despite the media frenzy, Angélica Vale continues preparing for her 50th birthday celebration on November 11, which she says she will not cancel.

Born in Cuba, Otto Padrón emigrated to the United States with his family as a child.
He studied Broadcast Communications and Economics at the University of Miami and went on to become a prominent figure in Hispanic media.
Padrón served as President of Programming at Univision and is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Get After It Media, a U.S.-based media company.
His sudden disappearance from the public eye has caused concern among friends, colleagues, and followers, who hope he will soon address his separation and current situation.
